After five years of reaching out over Facebook, connecting over 23,400 friends across Sheffield who share our values of kindness, compassion and creativity… we're finally moving to meet up for a cuppa and a chat in the real world!
This is how we will organise ourselves. I'll list some suggestions for meeting locations below. If you click on the link for any of these, you'll be taken to a poll in our Love Sheffield Facebook group, where you can say which days of the week and morning or afternoon are most convenient for you. We will then propose meeting dates which are most likely to have a good turn out of people to meet.
So here's the idea... We choose a location and agreeable time. Walk through Sheffield taking photos along the way to the meetup, then post highlights to the Love Sheffield Facebook group and we will organise a follow up report for you here with more pics and a route map. Or just meet up for a cuppa and a chat - it’s up to you.
Toby is pooped after our walk this morning, and watching me create all these polls… it’s sent him dizzy lol
If you get a chance to get onto our Love Sheffield facebook group on Monday night at 9pm, I’ll be doing a live video Q&A on how things are progressing for our Newsletter and how this will help Love Sheffield to scale up in the coming months - very exciting to create a city wide social network based on kindness, compassion and creativity which is inclusive… I think it will lift the whole city as it grows!
If you don’t want to use Facebook, don’t worry - all of our meetings will be posted here in advance, you won’t miss a thing. You can comment below and make any suggestions for improvements.
