Today we had the first meeting of our Love Sheffield Ambassadors, and I was delighted to see how easily we all saw the power of connection - and how we could create a positive difference together, outside of the usual constraints of ‘organisations’ and with a creative constraint of working with a £0 budget!
One of the immediate ideas which came out, and I’ve acted on immediately, is to provide a QR code linking directly to questions I’ve posted for our friends to encourage reflection and connection… the idea is that any of our 23,600+ friends in Love Sheffield can print out the picture and post it on a notice board somewhere across Sheffield.
Anyone can point their smartphone camera at the QR smartcode, and a link will pop up on their phone taking them directly to the question on our Love Sheffield Facebook group, for them to add their thoughts!
This is exactly the kind of simple, imaginative thing we can all work together to make it easier for everyone across Sheffield to become more connected.
If you point your phone camera at any of the QR codes above, you should see a link which takes you directly to the question on Love Sheffield. Please comment below on how well this works for you?
Please help us to connect more friends across Sheffield by printing any of these questions or any future questions from the group and posting them around? We will keep an eye out for them, and look forward to many more friends finding our amazing, inclusive community.
We will have lots more initiatives and activities to share in the coming weeks… 2024 will be our biggest year yet - I’m more excited than ever for Sheffield.
p.s. the title “Guerrilla Kindness” refers to “Guerrilla Marketing” where we use creative, very low cost ideas to promote kindness and connection (for example, it costs a minimum of £3000 to advertise on the Supertram! so we won’t be doing that)
I thought the idea behind LS was to be invited there by friends, not by a poster found on a notice board somewhere? This seems counter-intuitive to me?
How do I point my phone at something I'm reading on my phone?
